Yes, It is called Zina and it is Haram/Sin/Wrong and Unlawful.

Just like adultery in Christianity, it is a sin. You must remember that Muslims share their roots with most other religions (old testament), and know of the ten commandments. They also believe in Jesus, who reiterated them.
