Aisha was 6 years old when Mohammed married her?

Some say Aisha was 6 or 8 or 9 years old when Muhammed married her. Is that right?

If it is right then before judging the action i would like to hear the reasons and what makes marriage to a 6 years ok in a Muslim society?

Yes, she was 6 when she married him.

However, he had the decency to wait until she was 9 before consumating the marriage.

Times were different then, did you know Mary the mother of Jesus was 11-13 when she became pregnant with Jesus. Times were different then. Today that is gross to anyone, but back then, to Christian, Jewish, and Muslims it was a regular thing.
