There is a general perception that it is written in Quran that the husbands income is dependant on the destiny (or "Qismat" an Urdu word) of the wife. Is it correct, if so please quote the ayat of Quran or Hadith.

I dont exactly understand your question. Are you asking if the guy is the one needs to support the family financially? or are you saying that if wifes destiny (Qader - Kader) is bad, their families income is bad too?

I dont get it. Sorry.

As far as i know there is no any ayat or Hadith blames women and/or their destiny for the family`s bad income. Your destiny is given by Allah so who are men to judge or blame the destiny the wife has.

I think this is wrong and bad that people made this a general perception. If you live in Pakistan (i am guessing based on you can speak Urdu) then sounds to me like this perception is coming from Indian traditional mentality.

Indian family traditions and common perceptions are usually pretty hardcore when it comes down to wife. They dont have much of mercy on them. I also know that Indians are pretty superficial about their beliefs and their daily life. Therefore i personally think this misconception is coming from India.

I dont agree with it. I dont believe it and i dont like it.

I completely agree with anonymous.

The suggestion that his income is effected by the wifes destiny doesn't even make sense. How stupid does that sound ?

Manmade crap as usual.
