Does Islam have any rules specifically regarding music? I realize that many people interpret songs differently than each other, and thus disagree if it is appropriate or not. Do you have any scriptural evidence to back this up?

They can listen anything if the music don't is considered haram. They can't listen offensive or blasfem things, but any other music they like, religious or not.
