Selam Alejkum may peace and mercy of Allah (swt) be upon you all
Hi there, I was searching in the internet about this. My problem or rather question is, how come I am not feeling anything. Like when I imagine one of my parents dying I am not feeling any distress or anything, I am not feeling scared or anything. Also when I'm alone (i.e while studying, just before sleep) I am unhappy.
From some research I did there was some that suggested that cause I did try to shutdown pain (negative talks, negative responses, negative life events), so to say try to ignore it etc.. it made me immune to other emotions too, cause they say you can't control to just ignore pain etc.. if u try to ignore emotions etc you'll end up losing all the emotions all-together.
So my question is, how do I get back? How do I start feeling more than I am, specially for my family etc..?
