Why a Muslim lady cant marry a non-muslim man?

A muslim man can marry anybody (except a non believer as far as i know) but a muslim lady cant marry a non-muslim man. Why is that?

Muslem women can not marry non muslem man in order not lose her faith. everybody knows that woman usually listen to her husband and religion is more important than marriage itself.
