As-salaam 'alaikum!

My response on the question will base on the Qur'aan, Sunnah and the Bible.

Gaism and lesbianism have become common acts of some people across the globe (not all people view it positively as others do).

Gays from religious point of view are reffered to as The “People of Lot”.

At the heart of the Islamic view on homosexuality lies the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah, which is narrated in the Qur'aan, too. According to scripture, the Prophet Lot had warned his people of “immorality,” for they did “approach men with desire, instead of women.” In return, the people warned by Lot tried to expel their prophet from the city, and even tried to sexually abuse the angels who came down to Lot in the guise of men. Consequently, God destroyed the people of Lot with a colossal natural disaster, only to save the prophet and a few fellow believers.

A Muslim takes this story as a justification to stigmatize gays, but there is an important question that deserves consideration: Did the people of Lot receive divine punishment for being homosexual, or for attacking Lot and his heavenly guests?

As a Prophet of God, Lot preached to his people.

"We also sent Lot. He said to his people: '"Will you commit lewdness such as no people in creation ever committed before you? For you come in lust to men in preference to women. No, you are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds'" (Qur'aan 7:80-81).

In another aayah, Lot advised them: '"Of all the creatures in the world, will you approach males, and leave those whom Allaah has created for you to be your mates? No, you are a people transgressing (all limits)!'" (Qur'aan 26:165-166).

The people rejected Lot and threw him out of the city. In response, God destroyed them as punishment for their transgressions and disobedience.

So, God punished the People of Lot becasue of homosexuality. If God was pleased with their deeds, He could have just let them do it. Why then did He destroy them? Because God hate homosexuality!

Logically, there is no point for God to create women if men find satisfaction in their fellow men, or in case of women, no point of creating men if women seek solace in their fellow women.

The creation of both a man and woman denotes that mankind shall continue through offspring. If it was for satisfaction of desires, then one sex group was enough for God. But since God id the All-Wise, He created both men and women as partners. The Qur'aan, Suurah 78 aayah 8 reads, "And (have We not) created you in pairs?"

The pair here is not a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. A pair of shoes does not have both one sidded shoes (Left-Left or Right-Right). It has Left and Right shoe.

Leviticus 20:13 (cf. 18:22) declares it abominable for a man to lie with another man as with a woman, and both partners are to be executed.

Abu Dawud recorded a report from Abdullah ibn Abbas who said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done." (38:4447)

CONCLUSION

Homosexual acts have no place in Islam or even in Christianity. The people who are doing it, no doubt, are just neglecting what God forbids. They are no different from the People of Lot.
