As I have research the second pillar of Islam is ritual prayer (salah). Stated there is that there are five prescribed prayer times: dawn, midday, afternoon, sunset, and night. Prayer consists of reciting verses from the Qur

There are thousands of  reasons why muslims pray five times a day. But mostly answers this as It is part of their religious ritual.  Muslims are required to pray five times a day, kneeling towards Mecca which is their holy city.

If one is devoted to God/Allah is there really such a thing as praying so much? You make it sound as though there is something wrong with muslims because they pray so much. There is real power in prayer in more ways than one.

Hey anonymous, just  a thought maybe that person  just asking why Muslims pray so much, that's a question anyway... Maybe he/she is just really curious to know why... but what you said is TRUE "There is real power in prayer in more ways than one." prayer is really powerful one I must agree
