The idea or the reason why the sacrificing for sins come from because the reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in the flesh and only God can satisfy the Law conditions of a perfect life as well as perfect sacrifice that purifies us of our sins. Individuals have sinned against God. But, God is definitely holy and righteous. He has to punish the sinner, the Law- breaker. If He didn't, then His the law is not Law for there is no law that is a rule without a punishment. The punishment for destroying the Law is death, separation from God. For this reason, we sinners desire a way to escape the righteous judgment of God. Since we are stained by sin and may not keep the Law of God, then the only one who could accomplish whatever we cannot is God Himself. This is the reason Jesus is God in flesh. He is both divine and human. He was made under the Law and He fulfilled it perfectly. Therefore, His sacrifice to God the Father on our behalf is of infinite value and is sufficient to get rid of individuals from their sins and undo the offense to God.
