This act of lying is firmly prohibited in Islam until or unless it is exactly for someone benefit or for a good. Truthfulness is righteous, as well as righteousness brings Paradise. People will continuously acknowledge the truth until he will be written by Allah as one who tells the truth. Lying is evildoing, and so evildoing leads to Hell.
