Do you believe in the law of Moses?

Is this why you cannot touch bacon, or similar items? Or does this text come from outside the bible? I realize that Jesus has "updated" the law of Moses into more of an internal law. Does this apply to Muslims, or do you carry on the tradition: much like the Jewish faith?

In some other religions, is a common belive that the rules are correct, but the law about bacon was updated by Jesus. He explained to Paul "What I have cleansed, do not call unclean"
