Is birth control allowed in Islam?

many muslim families are so large in number, just wondered if birth control is an option.

Well most Islamic resources will say "Birth control is haram" but there are also some (modern ones) say its ok to use birth control. So depends on how religious you are, its mostly up to you.

I have always used it and never felt bad about it because i believe its necessary and prevent a worse future for human kind.
